Effects Of Thoughts On Health And Body

The body is the servant of the mind.

It obeys the operations of the mind, whether they be deliberately chosen or automatically expressed.

At the bidding of unlawful thoughts the body sinks rapidly into disease and decay; at the command of glad and beautiful thoughts it becomes clothed with youthfulness and beauty.

Disease and health, like circumstances, are rooted in thought. Sickly thoughts will express themselves through a sickly body.

Thoughts of fear have been known to kill a man as speedily as a bullet and they are continually killing thousands of people just as surely though less rapidly.

The people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it.

Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body, and lays it open to the entrance of disease; while impure thoughts, even if not physically indulged, will sooner shatter the nervous system.

Strong pure, and happy thoughts build up the body in vigor and grace.

The body is a delicate and plastic instrument, which responds readily to the thoughts by which it is impressed, and habits of thought will produce their own effects, good or bad, upon it.

Men will continue to have impure and poisoned blood, so long as they propagate unclean thoughts.

Out of a clean heart comes a clean life and a clean body.

Out of a defiled mind proceeds a defiled life and a corrupt body.

Thought is the fount of action, life and manifestation; make the fountain pure, and all will be pure.

Change of diet will not help a man who will not change his thoughts.

When a man makes his thoughts pure, he no longer desires impure food.

Clean thoughts make clean habits. The so-called saint who does not wash his body is not a saint. He who has strengthened and purified his thoughts does not need to consider the malevolent.

If you would perfect your body, guard your mind. If you would renew your body, beautify your mind.

Thoughts of malice, envy, and disappointment, despondency, rob the body of its health and grace.

A sour face does not come by chance; it is made by sour thoughts.

Wrinkles that mar are drawn by folly, passion, pride.

I know a woman of ninety-six who has the bright, innocent face of a girl.

I know a man well under middle age whose face is drawn into in harmonious contours.

The one is the result of a sweet and sunny disposition; the other is the outcome of passion and discontent.

As you cannot have a sweet and wholesome abode unless you admit the air and sunshine freely into your rooms, so a strong body and a bright, happy, or serene countenance can only result from the free admittance into the mind of thoughts of joy and goodwill and serenity.

On the faces of the aged there are wrinkles made by sympathy others by strong and pure thought, and others are carved by passion; who cannot distinguish them?

With those who have lived righteously, age is calm, peaceful, and softly mellowed, like the setting sun. I have recently seen a philosopher on his death-bed. He was not old except in years. He died as sweetly and peacefully as he had lived.

There is no physician like cheerful thought for dissipating the ills of the body; there is no comforter to compare with goodwill for dispersing the shadows of grief and sorrow.

To live continually in thoughts of ill-will, cynicism, suspicion, and envy, is to be confined in a self-made prison hole.

But to think well of all, to be cheerful with all, to patiently learn to find the good in all--such unselfish thoughts are the very portals of heaven; and to dwell day by day in thoughts of peace toward every creature will bring abounding peace to their possessor.

1.The body is the servant of the mind. What ever we conceive in our mind (thought) be it positive or negative, the body carries it out.

    2. The people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it. Courage to overcome all challenges, fear is the beginning of failure. Fear NO fear and be victorious!

    3. Strong pure, and happy thoughts build up the body in vigor and grace. Our thoughts mold and influence our actions either ways.

  10. Thoughts are the foundation of the external expressions of man.

A good thought yields good physical experience and vice versa.

To think well of others (without hate, anger etc) is a pure way to attain a peaceful external experience and a happy life.

Yeah Goodwill scares away misfortune when done in good faith.... Some calls it saraka but it should not be a once in a while thing as if it is a sacrifice to the gods.

The Richest Man In Babylon - Chapter 6

The Richest Man In Babylon By George S Clason Chapter 6 - The Gold Lender of Babylon Fifty pieces of gold! Never before had Rodan, the spearmaker of old Babylon, carried so much gold in his learner wallet. Happily down the king's highway from the palace of his most liberal Majesty he strode. Cheerfully the gold clinked as the wallet at his belt swayed with each step—the sweetest music he had ever heard. Fifty pieces of gold! All his! He could hardly realize his good fortune. What power in those clinking discs! They could purchase anything he wanted, a grand house, land, cattle, camels, horses, chariots, whatever he might desire. What use should he make of it? This evening as he turned into a side street toward the home of his sister, he could think of nothing he would rather possess than those same glittering, heavy pieces of gold—his to keep. It was upon an evening some days later that a perplexed Rodan entered the shop of Mathon, the lende...

The Richest Man In Babylon - Chapter 5

The Richest Man In Babylon By George S Clason Chapter 5 - Five Laws Of Gold "A bag heavy with gold or a clay tablet carved with words of wisdom; if thou hadst thy choice; which wouldst thou choose?" By the flickering light from the fire of desert shrubs, the sun-tanned faces of the listeners gleamed with interest. "The gold, the gold," chorused the twenty-seven. Old Kalabab smiled knowingly. "Hark," he resumed, raising his hand. "Hear the wild dogs out there in the night. They howl and wail because they are lean with hunger. Yet feed them, and what do they? Fight and strut. Then fight and strut some more, giving no thought to the morrow that will surely come. "Just so it is with the sons of men. Give them a choice of gold and wisdom—what do they do? Ignore the wisdom and waste the gold. On the morrow they wail because they have no more gold. "Gold is reserved for those who know its laws and abide...

The Science Of Getting Rich - Chapter 5

Chapter 5 - Increasing Life You must get rid of the last vestige of the old idea that there is a Deity whose will it is that you should be poor, or whose purposes may be served by keeping you in poverty. The Intelligent Substance which is All, and in All, and which lives in All and lives in you, is a consciously Living Substance. Being a consciously living substance, It must have the nature and inherent desire of every living intelligence for increase of life. Every living thing must continually seek for the enlargement of its life, because life, in the mere act of living, must increase itself. A seed, dropped into the ground, springs into activity, and in the act of living produces a hundred more seeds; life, by living, multiplies itself. It is forever Becoming More; it must do so, if it continues to be at all. Intelligence is under this same necessity for continuous increase. Every thought we think makes it necessary for us to think another thoug...
